The size of New York City was really impressive in Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, but he was just a small side of the iceberg we saw 🙂
The game’s creative director, Bryan Intihar, announced in a Famitsu interview that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 map will be much larger than the map in the brand new game.
“We’ve also added Queens and Brooklyn to the map, which is about twice the size of the previous map. These two neighborhoods are actually a bit smaller and more residential neighborhoods, so they have a very different magic than Manhattan. We haven’t seen it before. We prepared some unexpected situations in style, for example, we prepared fights where we used the river that runs through the neighborhoods, look at them,” says Intihar.

In addition, thanks to the new talents of both Peter Parker and Miles Morales, we will be able to travel around New York more quickly. In fact, Spider-Man 2 will not feel like an ordinary sequel, thanks to both the size of the map and the new abilities.
“We want you to feel that this is not just a sequel, but an original experience for the two protagonists. It also touches on the individual conflicts of Peter and Miles, so we hope you enjoy this parallel but familiar story.” said Suicide.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be released exclusively for PlayStation 5 this year.
